Wild Seeds Academy

Wild Seeds Academy is a free, hands-on art program for kids ages 6–12, designed to spark curiosity, imagination, and a love of creative exploration. Classes combine studio work with outdoor adventures, encouraging students to observe the natural world, experiment with materials, and express their ideas through art.

Set near the headwaters of Quartz Creek in Pitkin, Colorado, each session is inspired by the changing seasons, from the first wildflowers of summer to the vibrant colors of autumn. At Wild Seeds Academy, children discover the joy of making, learn to see the world in new ways, and grow their creative confidence—all while connecting with nature, each other, and the rhythms of the landscape.

In a world often filled with digital noise, these young artists have spent their summer grounding themselves in the stark beauty of the natural world. Through the tactile exploration of raw materials and the untamed landscapes that surround us, they have captured a sense of hope and joy that is uniquely their own. We invite you to witness these "wild seeds" as they share their vision of the land—a reminder that the virtues of the West are being passed to a new generation.
